Operations Director

As part of its international expansion, our company is looking for an Operations Director based in Morocco to manage and optimise activities relating to fixed and mobile telecommunications networks. This strategic position is aimed at an experienced professional with solid technical and managerial expertise, capable of steering complex projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and interacting with high-level customers, both nationally and internationally.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

– Coordinating and supervising the operation and maintenance of fixed and mobile network infrastructures, FTTH fibre optics, HFC, copper and other associated systems.
– Direct contact with key customers (national and international operators).
– Analysing customers’ needs and technical/operational requirements, ensuring an effective response that is aligned with the company’s objectives.
– Develop, supervise and execute the zone’s budget and financial forecasts, ensuring effective control of the profit and loss account.
– Ensure compliance with KPIs relating to service quality, availability, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
– Promoting the continuous improvement of operational processes and work methodologies.
– Managing projects relating to the roll-out of fibre optics, mobile networks and infrastructure optimisation, including turnkey projects.
– Drawing up specifications and RFQs at national level.
– Developing commercial strategies.
– Produce regular reports for Regional Management on the progress of projects and the financial situation of the zone.

REQUIREMENTS

DIPLOMA REQUIRED :
– Higher education in telecommunications or industrial engineering. Other degrees with relevant experience in fixed and mobile networks will be considered.

REQUIREMENTS:
– Minimum 10 years’ experience in similar positions in the telecommunications sector.
– Advanced knowledge of project management: design, installation, construction, public works of fixed (FTTH, HFC) and mobile (BTS, towers, masts) networks.
– Experience in managing company profit and loss accounts, knowledge of revenues, costs, provisions, work in progress, invoicing, collection, margins, etc.
– Familiarity with national and European operators (Telco, TowerCo) and knowledge of the international market (mainly European).
– Professional spoken and written English (essential).

ADDITIONAL TRAINING / IT APPLICATIONS :
– MBA or EMBA (appreciated).
– Knowledge of fixed network design and management tools (GIS, AutoCAD, etc.).
– Knowledge of renewable energy (appreciated).
